21/08/10 ; Tiling delivered
Chairman Rick Burke,Secretary Chris Lee and Development OfficerMark Foster, were on hand today to take delivery of the 5 Pallet loads of tiles that have been donated by Pilkington's Tiles.
The tiles will be used to re-floor and re-tile the changing rooms and the toilets in the clubhouse.
The clubhouse is really looking good at the moment and ALL of the committee would like to thank all those parents,managers , players and helpers who have contributed to the refurbishment. The U21 players have painted the clubhouse making it a more brighter environment and the work that has gone on in the toilets and the changing rooms really brings the clubhouse and facilites up to date. There has been some work on the grounds as well with the removal of the bushes in the corner or the field allowing us the opportunity to extend the Main pitch. There will be some more work to do to finalize the refurbishment but everyone can look forw-ard to better facilities that we hope will be fully utilised by all.

15/07/2011: Refurbishment Underway At Last
After months of wrangling and awaiting decisions the work to refurbish the clubhouse will begin on Monday 17th July.
After the major flooding in January and despite all the hard work done last year, it has been a long process negotiating with the Insurers to settle our claim. However that has now been achieved and with a hopefully expected injection of funds from The Football Foundation/The FA we can hopefully achieve our vision of a modern and fully usable clubhouse and changing rooms.
With plans to add disabled access and an outside decking area we hope to enhance the using experience of the facility and of watching football at Swinton FC.
A new kitchen,new bar and enlarged facilities will allow for more functions to be catered for and refurbished changing rooms will allow them to be used for the very first time since we took over the facility.
